about

John starting learning guitar at age 15 in his native Toronto.

Many years after moving to the Island and still learning the guitar, John appeared on the Manx music scene in late 2007 at a SaturdayJam open mic in Port Erin, hosted by local musician Clara Barker.

After playing the open mic circuit around the Island, John was looking for some songs to perform that weren't 'standard covers'

Clara offered 'Victory Street', an older song she used to perform that she thought would suit John's playing style.

Clara described the song as being when you don't want someone to exist in your life anymore, in your head, you put them on the moon.

John is shortly going to be releasing an ep, 'Party of one', on Small Bear Records. Find us at www.smallbearrecords.com
